Answer:

A group of campers in 1919 started an organization called the Tin Can Tourists.

Step-by-step explanation:

They named the club after the car they all used to travel the country which was the Model T, also known as the Tin Lizzie. People suggest that it was after the cans of food they stored to feed them selves during these long trips to Florida or a tin can placed on the radiator to identify themselves as members of the club but we have a written record from those that met and started the Tin Can Tourists organization that it was due to the Model T's nickname. They were proud of the vehicle being able to make the trips and they used the car as part of their tents.

The group is still around and celebrated it's 100 year anniversary in 2019. Check out tincantourists.com
