Write a sentence for each of these three words:

Make sure that if you were to say the sentence to someone, they would understand what the word means

Answer:

assailant: a person who physically attacks another.

Example; Almost immediately, the room erupted with a gunshot and both my assailant and I dropped to the floor.

Adverse: preventing success or development; harmful; unfavorable.

Example: He remained adverse to any case where he knew for sure that someone was killed.

Arid: (1) having little or no rain; too dry or barren to support vegetation or (2) lacking in interest, excitement, or meaning.

(1)Example; Their arid country was the best safeguard of their cherished liberty; for the bottle-shaped cisterns for rain-water which they excavated in the rocky or argillaceous soil were carefully concealed from invaders

(2)Example; She glanced around at the arid camp, taking in the dusty tents and scraggly cacti..

(That one was very complex)
