How do I work out 3-9+7 divided by 3

Answer: I believe it should be
(1)/(3) for the final answer and here is how I would solve for this answer.

Explanation:

  1. Subtract 3 from 9 or 3 - 9 which equals: -6.
  2. Add -6 to 7 or -6 + 7 = 1.
  3. Divide 1 by 3 and you get
    (1)/(3).

You get
(1)/(3) because you can't simplify the fraction into a whole number. And if you need the decimal then you get 0.33333333 or 0.3 repeating.
