According to Chargaff's rule, in a DNA, the amount of purine is equal to the amount of pyrimidine. Therefore, if 30% of an organism's DNA is thymine, then it's complementary purine, adenine will also be 30%. Rest 40% will be constituted by equal amounts of guanine and cytosine, i.e., 20% each.
