First, find the area of the base of the pyramid:

Area(base) = L x W = 10 x 10 = 100.

Next multiply 100 by the height of the pyramid. 100 x 12 = 1200

Now divide 1200 by 3.
1200/3 = 400

Summarizing what I did:

1) find the area of the base
2) multiply the height by the area of the base
3) divide the result by 3

Where did I get this from? The formula for finding the volume of a pyramid.

Volume (pyramid) = 1/3(base area x height)

Hope this helped!
