ADVANTAGES
People didn’t have to go out in search of food anymore and could settle in one area.
An agricultural lifestyle led to other inventions, like writing to record land boundaries and the size of their herds, the plow, irrigation, pottery, fabric, and looms.
Not everyone had to grow food, so other jobs developed.
DISADVANTAGES
Less varied diet and more sugar and fat.
Population grows and diseases spread.
More time and energy to grow food; plowing, planting, weeding, and watering.
