Well it might just not work. Think about if you tried to change Christmas or New Years in maybe America. Do you think people would actually listen to that? Religious people would go nuts over the change and if you made it illegal there are laws that give them the right to celebrate that holiday. People would break that law like they did with the 18th Amendment. The people might also feel silenced and that would cause boycotts. riots, and general outrage amongst the people.
