Ax + By = C
By = C - Ax
y = (C - Ax)/B

Hope this helps, I assumed you just want to make the subject y instead of solve for y since there is no value given

Answer:

y=(C-Ax)/B

Explanation:

Rearrange for y on one side of the equation and everything else on the other:

Move Ax over to RHS : Ax + By - Ax= C - Ax

By = C - Ax ---> Now we have to get y by itself, so divide the LHS and RHS by B co-efficient

By/B = (C - Ax)/B

y= (C - Ax)/B
