If 3x+1=-8, What is the value of (x+2)3?

I’m pretty sure the answer is negative 3
You subtract one from both sides which gives you 3x = -9. You divide x which gives you negative 3. Then you plug -3 in for x for the other equation. -3 plus 2 equals negative one and -1 times 3 equals -3
