Without the atomic bombs that ended World War 2, the war would've gone on for many years to come. Dropping the atomic bomb was obviously not the only way to end World War 2 but it was the quickest and most effective. Allied nations proposed the atomic bomb as a warning before forming operation downfall, which would've killed many more than the atomic bomb. Operation downfall was able to be avoided by the dropping of the atomic bomb. The atomic bomb of World War 2 may not have been the best course of action but it was the best decision to avoid even greater loss.
