What is the area of a triangle that has a

base of 15 1/4 in. and a height of 18 in.?

⇒ must know the area of the triangle's formula


(1)/(2) *base*height

Let's look at the information given:

  • base length ⇒
    15(1)/(4) in ⇒
    (61)/(4) (when converted into an improper fraction)
  • height length ⇒ 18 in

Let's solve:


Area=(1)/(2) *base*height=(1)/(2) *(61)/(4) *18 = 137.55in^2

Thus the area is 137.55 square inches
