2x + 3y = 15

x - 3y = 18

Solve...use elimination method

2x + x + 3y - 3y = 15 + 18

3x = 33

x =11

11 - 3y = 18

-3y = 7

y = -7/3

(11, -7/3)

2.) y = 4x + 4

y = 4x - 4

Use substitution.

4x + 4 = 4x - 4

4 = -4 FALSE NO Solution

3.) y = 5- 2x

4x + 3y = 13

Can use elimination method

2y = 10 - 4x

add it to 4x + 3y = 13

10 + 3y = 2y + 13

y = 3

3 = 5 - 2x

x = 1
