A committee of 6 students are being selected from a class of 10 girls and 8 boys. How many committees are possible if three must be girls and 3 must be boys?

Answer:

1056

Explanation:

For the girls...there are 10 people for the first girl.......9 people for the second (not counting the first girl)....8 for the last girl. For the boys there are 8 for the first boy....and so on.

At the end....it looks like 10*9*8+8*7*6
