Explanation: Wind turbines are wind energy converter devices that transforms the mechanical energy of a wind (kinetic) into electrical energy (electricity).

A wind turbine makes use of the pressure from wind, as the moving wind hits the blades of the turbine, it causes the blade to rotate, this rotation also causes a generator in the turbine to also rotate too. As the generator rotates, a coiled wire is caused to rotate around a magnet which in turn creates an electrical current.

This is how energy is transformed from a kinetic energetic energy to an electrical energy in a wind turbine.
