You're not dumb, it's just a small matter of learning.

First, we have to solve the exponents by multiplying them to their exponents.

3^4 = 3 x 3 x 3 x 3

3^4 = 81

3^2 = 3 x 3

3^2 = 9

Therefore, our new fraction is 81/9.

Lastly, we just need to simplify it.

81/9 = 9

That means your answer would be B.

Answer: B) 9

Explanation:

You are not dumb. You just probably don't know how to solve this.

When you have the same base (3) raised to x exponent, and these bases are dividing each other, you put the same base and subtract exponents.

(3^4)/(3^2)=3^4^-^2=3^2=9

Another way of looking at this is;

(3^4)/(3^2)=(3*3*3*3)/(3*3) =(3*3*3)/(3) =(3*3)/(1) =3*3=9
