What are the differences and similarities to Speed and Velocity?

Answer:

speed is a scalar quantity which specifies the rate at which distance is changing but does not specify in which direction velocity is a vector quantity which specifies both speed and direction so speed is the megnitude of velocity (the length of the vector)
