(8)/(9)

I know it looks very confusing but it's not.

What you're gonna do is turn the 2 into a fraction.


(2)/(1) by putting a 1 under it

now we are ready to solve

multiply like you would any 2 fractions


(2)/(1) *
(8)/(9)

2 * 8 = 16

1 * 9 = 9


(16)/(9)

Then we simplify

16 goes into 9 one time

subtract 16 - 9 to get 7

the denominator stays 9

so its
1(7)/(9)

there you go :)

You can use this with all the problems
