How does a thick layer of algae growing on the surface of a pond affect the lives of other organisms living in the pond? Need an answer ASAP!!! EMERGENCY!!! Thank you!!! :)

1. Algae blocks sunlight from other organisms
2. Kills those that are autotrophs
3. Bacteria in pond will continue to multiply and break down everything dead/deteriorating
4. Bacteria takes over all oxygen supply
5. No life
