Answer: x=12
1st step: (2x – 3) + (2x –3) = 4x – 6
2nd step: 4x –6 + (12) = 4x + 6
3rd step: 4x + 6 + (2x) = 6x + 6
4th step: 6x + 6 = 78
–6 –6
5th step: 6x /6 = 72/6
6th step: x = 12
