we divide the total budget by the cost per pamphlet and then we will know how many of them he can make.

the total budget is:

and the cost per pamphlet:


CostPerPamphlet=10

so we make the division:


NumberOfPamphlets=(3,000)/(10)\\ NumberOfPamphlets=300

The senator can make 300 pamphlets with the budget that he has.
