The circumference can be found by

C = 2 * pi *r

16 pi = 2 * pi *r

Divide each side by 2 pi

16 pi/ 2 pi = 2 * pi *r/ 2 pi

8 =r

The radius is 8

To find the area

A = pi r^2

A - pi (8)^2

A = 64 pi
