How does the skeletal structure support movement?

Answer:

The function of a skeleton is support and hold a body's weight, create shape to the body, produce blood cells, store minerals and allow movement of the body to take place. The skeleton's joints and individual bones act as a shifting and movable puzzle that allows a body to flex and bend while maintaining it's solid form.

Bones give shape to the body, protection to organs and, with muscles, act as levels to help the body move.
