A=520 rounded to the nearest 10

b=54.9 rounded to 1 DP
Find the maximum (to 2 decimal points) of a÷b
it is not 520÷54.9, trust me, I tried it, it isn't because it's asking for the maximum possible answer that It could be from what it is rounded to (for example, that could mean that a=515)

Final answer:

The maximum possible value of a÷b, considering the rounded values of a and b, is 9.64.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the maximum of a÷b, we need to consider the rounded values of a and b.

If a = 520 rounded to the nearest 10, the maximum possible value of a can be 530 (if rounded up).

If b = 54.9 rounded to 1 decimal place, the maximum possible value of b can be 55 (if rounded up).

Therefore, the maximum possible value of a÷b would be 530÷55, which equals 9.64 (rounded to 2 decimal places).
