The distance traveled varies directly with the time spent in motion when speed is held constant."

If d represents the distance traveled and t represents time, which equation would represent this variation?

Answer:

part 1: d=st

part 2; 37.5 (mph)

part 3; 5.3 hours (assuming the 150 miles isn't counted towards the 200 miles)

Explanation:

constant of variation and speed are basically the same thing, s=d/t

s=d/t

s=150/4

s=37.5

t=d/s

t=200/37.5

t=5.333...

t≈5.3
