If x varies inversely as y and y varies directly as z, what is the relationship between x and z​

Answer:

X varies inversely as z

Explanation:

(algebraic method)

Know that x=1/ay

and that y=bz

Plug-in bz for y

x=1/abz

In this problem, x is equal to 1 divided by some constant times y

Y is equal to some constant times z

Therefore, x is equal to 1 divided by some constant *some other constant* z

Obviously if a and b are constant, then ab is also a constant.
