The area of a rectangle is 100 square inches. The length of the rectangle is 5 inches. What is the perimeter of the rectangle

Explanation:

Area = b x h

So the base and height must be one of the following:

20 x 5 or 5 x 20

50 x 2 or 2 x 50

25 x 4 or 4 x 25

10 x 10

* L x w = B x h

Well if the length is 5 inches, then the base is 5 inches, so the height must be 20 inches.

To find Perimeter, add up all the sides:

20 + 5 + 20 + 5 = 50
