Debbie cut a cord into sixths. She used five of the pieces to make necklaces. She used equal lengths of the remaining cord for each of four bracelets. What fraction on the original cord did Debbie use for each bracelet?

1/24 of the original cord

Explanation:

She cut the original into sixths and used 5 out of those 6 pieces to make a necklace so you would have only 1/6 piece to make 4 bracelets.

1/6 divided by 4 is equal to 1/6 x 1/4 because to keep, change flip and you get your answer of 1/24 of the original cord.
