Aaron was plotting the shape of his garden on grid paper. While it was an irregular shape, it was perfect for his yard. each square on the grid represents 1 square meter. What is the area of the garden?

pls, add an explanation as well as an answer, i wont open any links, thanks :)

Answer:

44
m^(2)

Explanation:

As the shape contain triangle ,rectangle and square so we calculate the area of all these and then add up.

As one box = 1
m^(2)

Area of Triangle=
(1)/(2)*b*h

b= 8, h=2

Area of Triangle=
(1)/(2)*8*2

Area of Triangle=
8 m^(2)

Area of Rectangle=
l*w

l=8,w=4

Area of Rectangle=
8*4\\

Area of Rectangle=
32m^(2)

Area of Square=
a^(2)

a=2

Area of Square=
2^(2)

Area of Square=
4m^(2)

Total Area=
8 m^(2)+
32m^(2)+
4m^(2)=44
m^(2)
