Circle A has circumference 2 2/3 m. Circle B has a diameter that is 1 1/2 times as long as Circle A’s diameter. What is the circumference of Circle B?

8 meters.

Explanation:

Formula: Circumference C = 2*π*r

Circle A circumference: a = 2 and 2/3 m = 2*π*r

circle B has diameter = 1 and 1/2 * 2r = (3/2)* 2r = 3r

so

Circumference of circle B = 2*π*(3r)

here r = (8/3)/(2*π)= 4/(3*π)

B = 2*π*(3* (4/(3*π)) ) = 2*π* (4/π) = 8 meters.
