Jill always attends class and spends at least 6 hours each day studying. Before a test she feels very confident in her ability to get an A. However, her confidence begins to wane and her anxiety level begins to increase when she arrives to class and talks to other students who discuss how hard they feel the test will be. What could have happned with Jill?

Jill is probably having some mixture of influence, situational and environmental anxiety. That means that Jill is probably feeling a lot more anxious due to the anxiety and negativity of her work environment, situation and the attitude of her classmates, it's a very common thing in a lot of classrooms for students to become more anxious when their work environment is very negative and heavy due to a certain stressor/situation.
