Why does a noise sound fainter as you move away from its source?​

Answer:

because the sound waves can only travel so far and if there is things near the source the waves bounce off of it. Ex: the speaker in the class room wouldn't be quiet, its like the noise went away as i walked down the halls, maybe the walls were blocking the noise
