Answer: Etruscan influence on ancient Roman culture was profound and it was from the Etruscans that the Romans inherited many of their own cultural and artistic traditions, from the spectacle of gladiatorial combat to hydraulic engineering, temple design, and religious ritual, among many other things.

Answer: The Etruscans taught the Romans both engineering and building skills.

Explanation: The Etruscan civilization was an early civilization (900 BCE-100 BCE) that inhabited Italy from Tuscany to Rome. They made defining contributions to the history of Europe, because they shaped in many ways the early development of Rome. Many of the most distinctive features of Roman society were influenced by or directly borrowed from the Etruscans. This can be seen in its engineering, religion, culture and urban planning.

The Etruscans developed the economy of the city using scientific procedures by draining the marshes adjacent to Rome. They would also build cuniculi (which are ancient diversionary water channels) to carry water to their cities.
