m=yx+b (y-intercept = b) (m=slope), X-4y=3 —> root-3,0 vertical intercept- (0, -3/4)

Answer:

y = 1/4x -8

Explanation:

First find the slope of the line

x-4y =3

Subtract x from each side

x-4y -x = -x+3

-4y = -x+3

Divide each side by -4

-4y/-4 = -x/-4 +3/-4

y = 1/4 x -3/4

This is in the form y= mx+b where the slope is m and the y intercept is b

The slope is 1/4

We want the same slope

y = 1/4x +b

we know the y intercept is -8

y = 1/4x -8
