Many Americans thought for sure that the election of Mr. Jefferson to the White House would bring on not only MAD TOM but the end of the "American experiement" because of his seemingly radical, revolutionary based ideas. Like many presidents, he became tempered or moderate in office. Can you explain this? How do the Louisiana Purchase, his economic policies, judicial review and the Barbary Pirates explain this moderation?

Step-by-step explanation:

In 1803, the American government had to face several internal political challenges

In 1803, Thomas Jefferson acquired the Louisiana territory from Napoleon and made Ohio as a state of United States. He also dealt with the first Barbary war against Tripoli pirates who tried to hijack the American ships in Mediterranean.

Hence we can summarise that the era of Thomas Jefferson was effective in bringing stability in the reforms of country.
