The Law of Cosines


c^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2ab \cos C


x^2 = 15^2 + 13^2 - 2(15)(13) \cos 38^\circ


x^2 = 225 + 169 - 2(15)(13) \cos 38^\circ


x^2 = 394 - 390(0.7880)


x^2 = 86.6758


x = √(86.6758)


x = 9.3
