The volume of the new prism is 24 ft³

For standing of prisms side by side, only the length of the ne prism is increased

Explanation:

The dimensions of the new prism are;

Length = 8 mm

Height = 3 mm

Width = 1 mm

Therefore, the volume of the of rectangular prism is given by the following expression;

Volume = Width × Height × Length = 8 × 3 × 1 = 24 ft³

Therefore, the volume of the new prism = 24 ft³

Where, the prism are arranged side by side, we have the heights and width remaining the same, while the length is increased.
