Hi to answer this question we have to apply the next formula:

Volume of a cylynder: π x r^2 x h

Where r is radius and h is height (length of the pipe in our case)

Replacing with the values given and solving for r:

100 = π x r^2 x9

100/ π x 9 = r^2

√(100/ π x 9) = r

r = 1.88

Since the diameter (D) is equal to:

D = 2r

D = 2 x 1.88 = 3.8 feet
