Answer: x=5

Simplifying

5(x + -2) = 15

Reorder the terms:

5(-2 + x) = 15

(-2 * 5 + x * 5) = 15

(-10 + 5x) = 15

Solving

-10 + 5x = 15

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '10' to each side of the equation.

-10 + 10 + 5x = 15 + 10

Combine like terms: -10 + 10 = 0

0 + 5x = 15 + 10

5x = 15 + 10

Combine like terms: 15 + 10 = 25

5x = 25

Divide each side by '5'.

x = 5

Simplifying

x = 5

hope that was helpful.Thank you!!!
