Edward has several missing assignments in his math class with a total of 274 problems to complete. His goal is to complete 4 problems this week, 6 next week, 9 the following week, and so on.

a) How many problems will he do in the 5th week?

b) If there are 9 weeks of school left, and he continues with the
pattern, will he finish the missing work? (Assume he doesn’t add to his missing work.)

Part a I am pretty sure it is a pattern so 4 plus 2 is 6, 6 plus 3 is nine and then 9 plus 4 is 13 Then 13 plus 5 is 18

Answer is 18

In part b he will not finish his work he has to get to 274 and he only gets to about 50 something
Hope this helps
