Answer:
The United States, Great Britain, and France wanted to unite their three zones of Germany in order to help Germany recover from the effects of the war.
Step-by-step explanation:
After the end of the Second World War, Germany was divided into Western bloc and Eastern bloc. The Western bloc was controlled by the allied forces, i.e., US, Britain and France and the Eastern bloc was under Soviet Union.
The United States, Great Britain, and France wanted to unite their three zones of Germany in order to help Germany recover from the effects of the war. They wanted to introduce a single stable currency within the allied occupied zone of Germany.
On the other hand, the Soviet Union wanted Germany to compensate war reparations and help the Soviet Union economically to recover from the post-war effects. The Soviet opposed to the decisions made by the allied force claiming that it was a violation against the agreement of the post-war.
The Soviet Union blocked all railways and raids passage to the allied occupied zone and introduced its own currency for the Eastern bloc.
