Explanation:

d = 3w

so... if we substitute value of d in eqn 1 then

w + 1 = 3w

or, 3w - w =1

w = 1/2

now..

d = 3* (1/2)

d= 3/2 ans..

Now putting d = 3w in equation 1

w + 1 = 3w

3w - w = 1

2w = 1

w = 1 / 2

putting w = 1 / 2 in equation 2

d = 1 / 2 * 3

= 3/2
