How many solutions does this equation have? 6x + 9 = 3x + 9

6x-3x=9-9

3x=0

x=0/3

x=0

method 2:

0=3x-6x+9-9

0=-3x

x=0

If an equation for example is x=5, the equation has one solution. If the equation is for example 4=4, there is an infinite amount of solutions. for your problem we would simplify the equation to get:

6x+9=3x+9

6x=3x

when dividing the x's to cancel eachother out we are left with 6=3. This means we have no solutions possible.
