Answer:Roosevelt was a great president. He was president during one of the toughest times that our nation was in, the great depression, but he managed to get out of it. One of the greatest things that Roosevelt did was the New Deal. I know that there is a lot of controversy behind the New Deal and some of the things were pretty bad, but what about Social Security? And the CCC? Those are all amazing acts that he did an amazing job on. To put back the country together after the great depression was an amazing thing to do. Roosevelt also passed The Meat Inspection Act and The Food and Drug Inspection after reading The Jungle, a book that Upton Sinclair published about the horrible conditions in the food factories. This was on my notes

Things I will say: His three terms(1), his New Deal(2) and its impact(3), his impact on WWII(4) and how he countered the threat(5).

President Franklin Roosevelt, born January 30, 1882 and died April 12, 1945. Often referred to by his initials FDR, was an American politician who served as the 32nd president of the United States from 1933 until his death in 1945. A member of the Democratic Party, he became a central figure in world events during the first half of the 20th century.

If I were to have a fireside chat about his presidency I would first mention one of his bigger accomplishment, his three presidential terms. Although he has done many, many influential things, his consecutive three terms were inspiring for many. He did quite a lot during his three terms as president.

The great depression, the worst economic period of the United State's history, ever. Roosevelt directed the federal government during most of the Great Depression, implementing his New Deal agenda in response to this economic failure. But that's not all he did.

FDR's last term was dominated by WWII. After leading the United States through nearly a decade of Depression, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt took on the role of Commander-in-Chief when the United States entered the Second World War. To counter the rising threat, FDR named two high-profile pro-interventionist Republicans, Henry Stimson and Frank Knox, to his Cabinet as secretaries of war and the Navy. Stimson, who was born in 1867, had served as President Herbert Hoover's secretary of state.

In conclusion, FDR brought us through many tough times. From a depression to one the worst wars in history due to new, more deadly weapons. Overall he earned his three terms and would have served more if not for his death.
