x = 0
y = 2

2x + 3y = 6
-5x + 2y = 4

Multiply the first equation by 2

(2x + 3y = 6)2 =
4x + 6y = 12

Then multiply the 2nd equation by -3

(-5x + 2y = 4)-3

That equals

15x - 6y = -12

Then add the two equations together

4x + 6y = 12
15x - 6y = -12

That equals

4x = 0

Balance

x = 0

Now let’s plug x into the first equation

2(0) + 3y = 6

That equals

3y = 6

Balance

y = 2

Y=2
