Answer:

Life has changed tremendously for Elie and the people in his town. First they were separated on whether or not they were Jewish. Then in groups, they were send off to camps. Then finally Elie, his family, and some other people left. They were all stuffed in a train cart and most of them had to stand up. they were all hungry and tired. One women kept on screaming about a fire and the people were first terrified and then they became annoyed. In the beginning of the book, everyone was happy and content. As the book went on, people died and many were separated and terrified.
