TU = 12

Explanation:

Since T is on the line segment of SU

SU = ST + TU..........(1)

SU = 3x -7

TU = x -1

ST = x + 7

Substituting these values into equation (1)

3x-7 = x +7 + x -1

3x -7 = 2x + 6

x = 13

For the numerical length of TU

TU = x - 1

TU = 13 - 1

TU = 12
