SOLUTION

Let the amount lent for product X be
a and Y be
b

According to the question

Total amount lent
=\$200500


\therefore
a+b=200500

also, the loan for product X was
\$50500 more than Y


\therefore
a-b=50500

Solving both equations we get


a=\$125500

Similarly,
b=\$75000

Hence $75000 was lent for product Y.
