Answer:

Intro:

The Civil War was a long hard fought battle between the North and South in the United States, often called the union and the confederacy. The North was primarily against slavery, while the south was primarily for slavery. This was a major reason for the start of the civil war. Although the population against slavery was less than those for slavery, the North had better economic, political, and social tactics.

Economic:

The north was well developed in the industry. They had more and better railroads and many other technological advancements that the south did not have. The south was primarily focused on the agricultural aspect which did not really help them in the war. They had food but food does not win a war.

Political:

The Emancipation Proclamation helped the north to gain support. The emancipation proclamation was signed on January 1, 1863 by Abraham Lincoln . It claimed that all slaves from rebellious states were free but left slaves in the north still slaves. The emancipation proclamation shifted focus of the was onto slavery. This helped the North to gain more support from those who cared about slaves and their positions in the United States.

Social:

In addition to those who fought, many freed slaves came to the north to have better opportunities. This mad the population of the north much greater. Slaves from the south were claimed free and decide to fight for their rights with the North who wanted all slaves to be free. The north also had great communications from European nations. With the support of European Nation s and greater populations, the north was able to put up stronger fight. It lead to the victory of the North.
