The sum of 3 consecutive integers is 96. Find the 3 integers. Show all work and label answer.

x + 1 is the second number
x + 2 is the last number

so, the equation would be:
x + x + 1 + x + 2=96

add together the x’s and numbers to get:
3x + 3 = 96

minus 3 from both sides:
3x=93

divide both sides by 3:

x=31


so, the first number is 31, then 32, and 33
