Answer: After the fire broke out, this caused Americans to get scheduled breaks, limited work day hours, and also created the foundation of rules and regulations for when fires took place such as preventing boarded windows, creating quick and exits, incase there was another fire. These regulations went out to all places. This made safer working conditions for all of the workers.

Explanation: I’m not sure what the author says. I know that the elevators weren’t working, stairs led to doors that were locked, the windows were boarded up because women were taking smoking breaks on the clock, and many other fire hazards were on the way. This made it impossible for many women to escape and many tried to survive by throwing themselves out of windows once they broke through, but this didn’t save their lives.
